Try typing the address in again, but this time use http:// in front of the IP address.Check which network you're connected to - Make sure that you're connected to the right network and that your computer or phone hasn't joined another network by mistake.Connect via a cable - If you're using Wi-Fi, try and connect via a cable connection from a computer instead to see if you can. If this fixes it, check out my complete Wi-Fi fixing guide.Finding IP addressesAssuming that you've been through the short troubleshooting steps above, you're now ready to find out what your IP address is and what your router's IP address really is. I've given instructions for how to find this using Windows, Mac, iOS and Android, so you can use pretty much every network-connected device that you might have.WindowsClick on the Start button, type ‘adapter’ and select View network connections. From the list, click on the live network connection icon (it will be blue) and, from the toolbar, click View status of this connection. If you can’t see this option, you may have to click the ‘>>’ icon in the toolbar first. Click the details box and a new dialog box will pop up. The IPV4 address listed is your computer’s address. Your router’s IP address is the IPv4 Default Gateway.
